You will need the IPS tag of your new registrar if you're transferring your domain away from DreamHost. It should be located on your current registrar's "transfers" page or under your "Domains" section, under the IPS tab.
Alternatively, contact the new registry and ask them to email you your IPS Tag. Make sure you clarify that this is a domain transfer and not a registration change.
Testing your website
To ensure everything works correctly, you should test your DNS settings before making the switch. This will allow you to identify any issues with your new host. You should test all of your internal links, menus, and smaller details to ensure that they are all functioning properly.
Backups and databases
It is a good practice to backup any data you may need to access for a few days after your domain is moved to the new host. This will ensure that your site is up and running as soon as possible. Cloudflare and Bitnami are two tools that can help you do this.
